Recognition as a competent practitioner in your technical field of specialisation
IOM3 runs annual competitions for student and early career members and non-members, lecture competitions to develop presentation skills, packaging design competitions to reward talent in creativity and annual awards to celebrate achievement and excellence in IOM3 members that have recently completed a qualification or apprenticeship in a materials, minerals or mining related field.

The YPLC invites students and professionals to deliver a short lecture on materials, minerals, mining, packaging, clay technology and wood science and engineering related subjects.
The Young Persons' World Lecture Competition has been held annually in different locations around the globe since 2005.
IOM3 offers streams of funding which involve activities that develop interest, recognise excellence and support professional development in the materials cycle.
