UK Government seeks quantum experts
Experts will form the Quantum Strategic Advisory Board to advise on quantum technologies.
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology have marked 100 years since the development of quantum mechanics with an an invitation to join the Quantum Strategic Advisory Board.
Leading experts in academia and industry can apply to join the board, which is chaired by Sir Peter Knight, with a view to implementing the National Quantum Strategy.
The international year of quantum has begun with UK Science Minister, Lord Vallance, saying the Board will ‘help harness the benefits of quantum for the economy and society’.
There are 160 UK companies active in the field, making it the second largest quantum sector globally.
