UK site for testing composite rebar
R-Tech Materials claims to be the only independent UK lab accredited for composite rebar testing in Europe.

The materials analysts say that, with the recent introduction of a CE marking scheme for composite rebar, accredited testing is now a critical requirement.
With composite and rebar testing facilities on a single site, the company has developed a testing capability for the construction sector.
An alternative to traditional steel reinforcement, composite rebar is gaining traction due to lightweight, high-strength and corrosion-resistant properties.
This enables faster construction, reduce long-term maintenance and allow use in harsh environments unsuitable for traditional steel rebar, notes R-TECH Materials.
Applications include marine structures, bridge decks and parking structures.
The lab houses tensile machines ranging from 10N to 1500kN, and can accomdate 32mm-diameter bars.
The company says it meets industry standards, such as ISO 10406-1, ASTM D8505, and ASTM D7205.
