The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Hub+ from UK Research and Innovation will be a focal point of knowledge and activity of good practice nationwide.

It aims to draw on expertise and insight from people and organisations to provide leadership for diversity challenges that are unique to engineering, physical and mathematical sciences.

The hub will focus on three themes:

  1. Career pathways
  2. Research funding and processes
  3. Organisational culture

It aims to deliver:

  • Evidence-backed, online resource of EDI interventions
  • EDI maturity indices and supporting material
  • Piloted interventions embedded in EPMS research and innovation contexts
  • Scaled-up and fully evaluated interventions
  • EDI national-level guidelines, pledges, policies and programmes
  • Co-created interventions that will be backed by a Flexible Fund to enable piloting of co-created interventions, scaling-up of successful pilot projects and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions
  • A coordinated and collaborative network across the four nations
