Starpack Schools and Students Awards packaging briefs now live addressing today’s biggest societal challenges
The briefs for both schools and students are available online with the deadline for online registration is on or before 12 March 2021.
Look around you. Packaging is everywhere! From the cleaning products we use to the cereal we choose, everything has been carefully packaged to get it safely from the factory to the shop shelves. Without even thinking about it, we have all been influenced to buy something because of the design of the packaging.
The Student Starpack Awards challenge students from a wide range of courses, some with a graphics emphasis and others concerned with structural/product design, as well as those from materials/technology courses, to submit solutions to problems. This year’s briefs range from designing a gift pack for gin and aluminum personal grooming brand product packaging to creating the promotion and display of Doritos 230g sharing bags and Pepsi 500ml.
The Schools Starpack Awards are open to pupils and students currently studying at Key Stage 4, GCSE’s, AS/A2, BTEC Levels 2/3 and NCFE programmes aiming to help students understand the work going into packaging and the vital role it plays in the consumer market. Briefs this year addresses some of issues facing us today including an on the go hand sanitizer bottle as well as creating interactive packaging.
