Pioneering Spirit aids decommissioning
The world’s largest construction vessel can be spotted in the River Forth, Scotland, this weekend.

Allseas’ Pioneering Spirit was specifically designed the vessel is designed for the single-lift installation and removal of large oil and gas platforms and the installation of record-weight pipelines.
The vessel will transfer its cargo of a topside drilling platform to the 200-metre-long cargo barge, Iron Lady. To transfer topsides to or from Pioneering Spirit, Allseas uses the cargo barge.
The Iron Lady will be moored at the Port of Rosyth before heading to the Energy Park Fife in Methil where its cargo will be unloaded prior to its decommissioning.
