CRC Evans run the welding and fabrication Modern Apprenticeships.

Candidates are trained in the first year, before transitioning to a full-time framework of onsite learning created by CRC Evans.

This allows training and college assessments to occur concurrently via a day release or in-company assessment methods.

'We offer a variety of different welding processes to learn, on different materials, which will take up the majority of the first two years of the apprenticeship programme,' Martin Wunder, Welding Apprentice Trainer at CRC Evans explains.

'We also aim to complete the necessary welding qualifications via the college route, as well as gaining many welding codings.'

The apprenticeships are run in collaboration with Skills Development Scotland and are open to student and high-school leavers, with an application deadline of Friday 30 May.
