IOM3 member wins at Ground Engineering Awards

Martin Griffin FIMMM, a Senior Engineer at Knight Piésold Consulting, won the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion Award.

The judges for Ground Engineering Awards Magazine say that although they were overwhelmed by the quality and variety of high-calibre submissions they chose Griffin as the EDI Champion because he 'has single-handedly raised awareness of neurodivergence in ground engineering and the judges were impressed by his thought leadership, passion and tenacity across many media channels'.

Griffin says, 'It was a particularly tough category this year, filled with fantastic diverse entries who deserved to win. Thank you to the judges and all have supported me in my edneavours. Together our work goes on my friends.'

Other winners include Dinesh Patel from Arup for a Lifetime Achievement award, Stamatina Marinatou from Atkis for the Rising Star Award for International Project of the Year - GeoSonic Drilling, Klohn Crippen Berger and Conetec for the Aitkit Tailings Dam Investigation.
