IOM3 celebrates 2024 Awards Day
IOM3 Awards Day 2024 was held on 5 December at 297 Euston Road, to celebrate professional achievement and published work in science and engineering.
On 5 December, IOM3 Awards Day was held at 297 Euston Road, with finalists, nominators, winners, and guests in attendance.
IOM3 Chief Executive Dr Colin Church CEnv FIMMM and IOM3 President Dr Kate Thornton CEng CSci FIMMM, welcomed all guests in the afternoon with a tea and coffee reception following which the award recipients were honoured during drinks and canapes. Later in the day, we welcomed guests for the Premier Awards Christmas Dinner to celebrate their contributions to IOM3, and Affiliated Local Societies, technical achievements, and published work. The evening began with a drinks reception, following which the awards were distributed by President Kate Thornton during dinner.
Ameer Zaki, winner of the IOM3 Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Studies says, 'It's important to recognise achievement because it gives us something to aim for, and these driving forces can help us achieve our goals in educations and industry. I feel blessed to have won, and it's wonderful; I hope to use this as motivation for my career and studies going forward.'
President Kate Thornton who joined us for the awards, said, 'It was a wonderful day celebrating the amazing achievements of our award winners. They all have amazing stories to tell about their journeys to receiving this award and I look forward to hearing these in the coming days to inspire people for our 2025 awards. Congratulations again to all our worthy winners!'
