Four IOM3 members win RAEng Research Fellowships
The Royal Academy of Engineering announced research fellowship recipients working on innovative engineering solutions.
The Royal Academy of Engineering has announced the latest recipients of its Research Fellowships, awarded to individuals working on engineering solutions for a variety of societal challenges.
The Research Fellowships programme is designed to offer support to early-career researchers working on innovative solutions to a range of issues, including the diagnosis of early-stage cancer, improved recycling of solar panels, reducing energy consumption by internet infrastructure, and cost-effective drug discovery and development. The fellowship provides funding for up to five years, allowing them to advance their research to become future research leaders in engineering.
We are delighted to share that four of our members have been awarded the Research Fellowship this year:
- Hui Luo MIMMM
University of Surrey
Net zero chemicals and hydrogen via plastic waste upcycling and electrolysis - Sophie Pain MIMMM
University of Warwick
Achieving sustainable solar: atomic manufacturing for recyclable photovoltaics - Tamsin Whitfield MIMMM
University of Oxford
Faster, Hotter, Stronger: designing alloys for a lighter carbon footprint - Felicity Worsnop MIMMM
Imperial College London
Novel metallurgy for the future of energy and security
Congratulations!
