Foundation Partnership for women in mining

Women in Mining (WIM UK) and Teck Resources Limited will collaborate on ways to further support gender diversity within the mining sector.

Teck, a Canadian mining company, sponsors Women in Mining UK as a Foundation Partner for two years. 

Teck has had a presence in London since 2022 and is working to promote dialogue on responsible mining in the UK.

The firm has several initiatives focused on inclusion and diversity within its workforce. Currently, 24% of Teck’s workforce is female, up from 12% in 2011.

Founded in 2006, WIM UK advocates and speaks for women in the mining sector, informing industry participants and decision-makers of the challenges and opportunities women are finding in pursuing careers in mining companies and other mining-related businesses.
