The partnership with Liebherr includes jointly developed technology, involving 475 zero-emissions machines.

The machines are 360 autonomous battery-electric trucks, 55 electric excavators and 60 battery-powered dozers.

The companies will deploy a complete autonomous battery-electric haulage solution for large-scale mining operations.

A zero-emission, battery-power system in the battery-electric trucks has been developed by Fortescue Zero, and will also be integrated into Liebherr's flagship mining dozer - the PR 776.

This zero-emission, mining ecosystem will be available to the rest of the mining industry soon, say the companies.

It is also the largest equipment deal in Liebherr Group's entire 75-year history.
