Almost 90 million Easter eggs will be sold in the UK, and most are wrapped in recyclable aluminium foil.

Aimed at local authorities and residents, the ‘Munch, Scrunch, Recycle!’ campaign from Alupro offers free resources designed to promote foil recycling from Easter eggs.

The aluminium packaging recycling organisation started the project last year and are bringing it back for 2025.

The resources are free to download in their resource library.

‘Easter is the perfect time to remind people about best practice recycling. The aluminium foil from Easter eggs is 100% recyclable and can be easily repurposed into something valuable if presented properly at the kerbside,’ says Tom Giddings, Executive Director of Alupro.
