Circular Economy Taskforce announced by UK Government

The Taskforce's panel of experts includes IOM3 CEO Dr Colin Church CEnv CRWM MCIWM FIMMM

The Circular Economy Taskforce was announced at the end of 2024 to tackle challenges about the transition to a circular economy in England while looking for new opportunities for building value across the waste and materials supply chain.

Over two dozen experts from a range of disciplines and backgrounds have been brought together to work on a Circular Economy Strategy, driven by investment in technologies, sectors and infrastructure that enable resource circularity and create jobs in the sector.

Dr Colin Church CEnv CRWM MCIWM FIMMM, CEO of IOM3, said, ‘This Taskforce is a novel approach from the Government to addressing the substantial challenge of converting our largely linear economy to a more circular one. It is really exciting to be working with such an expert group of people and I’m looking forward to what we can do together.'
