Appointment to the IOM3 Commercial Activities Board
Congratulations to Dr Maurizio Carano MIMMM for his election to the IOM3 Commercial Activities Board.
Dr Maurizio Carano is currently Innovation and Marketing Director for IML at Multi Color Corporation and spent the last 20 years in the packaging industry, working with companies such as WestRock (now Smurfit Westrock), Tetra Pak, Avery Dennison, Klockner Pentaplast, and Robopac. Born in Bologna, Italy, Maurizio is dedicated to creating more sustainable circular packaging solutions by leveraging new digital platforms, such as AI, to accelerate progress.
Maurizio holds a PhD in Chemistry and a Master's in Marketing, with research experience at institutions including UT Austin, GA Tech, EPFL Lausanne, and Monash University in Melbourne.
On his appointment, he says, ‘By being part of the Commercial Activity Board I want to support IOM3 in setting up a strategy that will help the overall strategic goals, amplifying its message and the overall commercialisation of the non-subscription offer. For example, refine the training portfolio and optimise its reach and attendance. I would also like to support the commercial planning based on my background and experience with IOM3.’
