Dr. Peter Singstad received his MSc and PhD degrees in Engineering Cybernetics at the Norwegian Institute of Science and Technology in 1982 and 1992, respectively. His field of specialisation is mathematical process modelling, model-based process control and industrial applications thereof.

He is a co-founder of the company Cybernetica AS, Trondheim, and has been CEO of the company since the start in 2000. Cybernetica develops tailor-made model-based control systems and soft measurements. The company’s unique Nonlinear Model Predictive Control technology is innovative, yet industrially proven. Cybernetica has extensive experience from industrial installations world-wide, with running applications in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. Cybernetica is now setting up an office in the UK.
