AIMed Tech Talk - Transmission Electron Microscopy: Exploring the nano world
Add to calEngineering Central B014 Swansea University Bay Campus and online via zoom
A closer look at the techniques available to industry, staff and students at Swansea University. In this session AIM's resident TEM specialist, James McCormack will be introducing the Transmission Electron Microscopy technique. This analytical imaging technique is capable of visualizing the smallest structures in matter, granting great insight into the world around us. The talk will cover basic principles, how the technique works and how it can be applied to your R&D questions, with focuses on TEM, scanning microscopy, elemental analysis and Selected Area Electron Diffraction for crystallographic analysis. There will also be plenty of time for questions. This session will be an hour long with refreshments provided and open to anyone with an interest in this technique (UG, PGR, academic, industrial and general interest).
