Join us for our next SWMA talk “Sustainable Batteries, Myths, Realities and Future Opportunities” by Dr Jenny Baker FIMMM, Battery Storage Lead for SPECIFIC IKC, Swansea University on Thursday 16th May from 6:15pm at Swansea University Bay Campus and online. This talk will cover the development of batteries from the first electric vehicles to the current state of the art for vehicles, grid storage and portable electronics. The cradle to cradle impacts of battery production, use and end of life will be presented, highlighting some of the key developments of the last 10 years as well as opportunities to further reduce the environmental impacts of energy storage.
