Cycling is one off the countries popular activities. Adam Cox, from Brompton Cycles, will talk about the latest development in folding bicycles.
Brompton are an innovative, British engineering company who are the "go to" for folding bikes. Initially designed as a commuting bike that can be folded up to be taken on to public transport and then used to get about large cities like London, they can easily be folded, are light, and there are many Bromptons on the streets of Britain. Bromptons have also been used for international cycle touring, climbing mountains, electrified, raced, and are the subject of many interesting technical innovations. There has recently been a change from a steel to a titanium frame which will be part of Mark Cox's talk.
Mark is a graduate of Sheffield University and a previous recipient of an SMEA Travel Award and is currently Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Brompton. The lecture will be in person and online.
