The SPRA provides a platform for discussion on topics of mutual benefit to members in the form of technical and business meetings, seminars, newsletters and a website. The SPRA also organises social functions for members to allow them to relax in the company of professionals with similar outlook, away from the stresses of the workplace. Members are encouraged to engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), to participate in the activities of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3) and form links with other groups with similar interests.
The SPRA aims to support the plastics and rubber industry by helping to lead the next generation of plastics. Acting as a network base for government, manufacturers, teachers, students and associations with the same interests in plastics and rubber, the SPRA is a centre point. Through a range of seminars and annual events, the SPRA educate, share experience and network to pass on knowledge and address political issues surrounding the plastics industry
