Past, present and future of the Milldam Mine
Add to calVirtual and in person at The Counting House
The MinSouth Technical Meeting on Thursday April 14th will be presented by Peter Robinson, Chairman (British Fluorspar Ltd) and will be on Fluorite Mining in Derbyshire.
Although the number of producing mines in the UK is slowly rising, they are still few and far between. One such operation is the Milldam mine within the Peak District National Park, operated since 2012 by Fluorsid. The mine produces acid grade fluorspar for the fluorochemical industry from a hydrothermal vein system.
Peter Robinson, Chairman of British Fluorspar Limited and a Mining Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in management in the mining industry will present on the past, present and future of the Milldam operation and the challenges of mining a narrow, structurally complex ore body located in a National Park.
This will be a hybrid meeting held both on-line and in the Counting House Dining Room, 50 Cornhill, London, EC3V 3PD.
Please register, whether you intend to attend in person or virtually. Keep in mind that if you plan to attend physically, spaces are limited so you will have to book early if you plan to come to the Counting House!
