Alex will present an overview of Mocean Energy, their unique ocean energy technology that enables them to capture more energy from the waves and how this was demonstrated through sea trials carried out off Orkney. He will then share key results, the next steps in the development of the technology and example applications.
Alex Crossland is Technical Studies Manager at Mocean Energy Ltd.
Alex started his career in the oil & gas sector, following his Masters in Petroleum Engineering, as a wireline logging field engineer where he gained experience across North America, Asia and Europe before moving to Aberdeen. He has gone on to work for numerous SME technology companies developing and commercialising new downhole tools. Alex’s first degree was in Environmental Engineering and over recent years has embraced the energy transition with his volunteering with SPE Aberdeen. At Mocean Energy, Alex is managing the delivery of feasibility studies to international clients.
