Dr Emily Jane Watkinson, Lecturer in Space Projects and Instrumentation from the University of Leicester will be presenting a talk called 'How nuclear waste will power exploration on the moon- and beyond!'. This talk will be looking at how we can use nuclear waste to generate electrical and thermal power to power space exploration including to the moon. In particular, the use of americium will be looked at.
