EMMS are pleased to host a talk by Dr Veronika Kapsali, University of the Arts, London about how the crossing of disciplinary boundaries, i.e. arts/humanities/science and technology, is shaping fashion and textiles in the 21st century. The talk will summarise technology at the time of the Neanderthals through to the 20th century then focus on the various issues and approaches driving innovation in textiles and fashion now.
