Unpacking the consultation webinars series
IOM3 is pleased to be supporting CIWM, ADEPT, BRC, ESA, FDF, Incpen, LARAC and NAWDO in working together to run a series of free collaborative webinars on the current UK packaging Extended Producer Responsibility, Deposit Return Scheme (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) and Collection Consistency (England) consultations.
These webinars are designed to help delegates understand these complex sets of proposals, provide insight into the impact on all the stakeholders involved and support those who will be submitting responses.
10 May 14.00 – 16.00 Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility
This webinar will provide a range of perspectives on the packaging EPR consultation, including:
- full net cost recovery definition and modulated fees
- governance models and business waste
- evidence, data and sampling requirements
- local authority payments, transition and infrastructure

14 May 10.00 – 12.00 Deposit Return Scheme for Beverage Containers
IOM3 CEO Colin Church will be introducing this event focusing with his talk on ‘Golden threads between the 3 consultations.’
This webinar will provide a range of perspectives on the DRS consultation, including:
- interface between packaging EPR and DRS proposals
- implications for local authority collections
- impacts on different material streams and targets
- opportunities for digital DRS systems
