Pack to the Future 2023

The Midlands Packaging Society are pleased to announce the date for the 11th Pack to the future conference on 26 July 2023.  This one-day conference will focus on the theme of 'Can packaging be sustainable?' and will allow delegates to hear from and network with thought leaders from across the spectrum of materials, supply chain, production, brand specifiers and retailers.  The programme will be includes:

  • 'A marketing perspective - Sustainability the driver for innovations', Neil Farmer (Neil Farmer Associates)
  • 'The retailer perspective', Will Guest (Tesco)
  • 'The journey to 100% recyclability', Iain Ferguson (Ferguson Environmental Consultancy)

  • 'An update on EPR and how to report it', Shane Gill-Ohrt (Skymark Packaging)
  • 'Packaging and waste', Roger Wright (Biffa)
  • 'Carbon footprinting - Journey to the Wizard of Coz!', Tim Barbary (Benchmark Consulting)
  • 'The Future - an update on the £60 million of research funding to investigate packaging and sustainability' Dr Nikki Clark (University of Loughborough)

The event will take place in the School of Design and Creative Arts and Loughborough University on Wednesday 26 July.
