AIMed Tech Talk - Transmission Electron Microscopy: Exploring the nano world

The South Wales Materials Association (SWMA) is pleased to announce their April meeting which will be delilvered by James McCormack, Technical Specialist at Swansea University on 2 April on the topic of Transmission Electron Microscopy: Exploring the nano world.

In this session AIM's resident TEM specialist, James McCormack will be introducing the Transmission Electron Microscopy technique. This analytical imaging technique is capable of visualizing the smallest structures in matter, granting great insight into the world around us. The talk will cover basic principles, how the technique works and how it can be applied to your R&D questions, with focuses on TEM, scanning microscopy, elemental analysis and Selected Area Electron Diffraction for crystallographic analysis. There will also be plenty of time for questions.

This session will be an hour long with refreshments provided and is opened to anyone (UG, PGR, academic and industrial) with an interest in the technique.
