How to achieve net-zero has become an important question for all forms of industry. But what does net-zero really mean and what practical steps can be taken today, and in the future, for materials processors to achieve their targets. On this half-day course, Robin Kent will take you through the basics of net-zero and what it means in practice alongside essential actions required to start the journey towards it.

Robin has been involved with materials processing since 1971 and has worked as Technical Director for several of the major plastics processing companies in UK and Europe. He has published over 500 technical and management papers on plastics and windows and 10 books on plastics processing. He is recognised as a leading authority on energy and sustainability management in plastics processing and has carried out energy surveys and assessments on over 500 companies throughout the world.
Robin has a BEng.(Hons.) in Materials Engineering from Monash University (Australia) and a PhD. in Polymer Physics from the University of Surrey. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute, a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Energy Manager.
