We are delighted to announce the launch of a new course for 11-19 Desgin Technology teachers at WHS Plastics Larkhall.  The Scotland Polymer Study Tour will take place on 31 May and 1 June.

WHS Plastics have been operating as family run company since 1933 and they specialise in cutting-edge injection moulding, painting and assembly processes. The course starts on Friday morning with an introduction to the company followed by tours of the site.  After lunch we will look in-depth at the structure, properties and processing of polymers to help boost your subject knowledge before heading to our hotel for the night.  On the second day, you will have the chance to get involved with a range of practical activities to bring the polymer aspects of the curriculum to life and an exploration of plastics and the environment. We will conclude with an important session, led by a practicing teacher, on how you can use the information from the course in your lessons.
