We are thrilled to be returning to Victrex for the 2025 Lancashire Polymer Study Tour for 11-19 teachers, which will be running on 29 & 30 June.
Victrex is the world's leading manufacturer of PEEK and PEAK-based polymers where you will be able to see polymer manufacturing and processing first-hand. During the Tour you will hear from experts in their field on all aspects of polymers relating to the curriculum and you will have the unique opportunity to look around the Victrex site. The first day covers the basics of the structure, properties, applications and processing of polymers and the focus of the second day is a visit to the Victrex site.

Where will the course be held?
The first day of the course will be taking place at the hotel where we are staying:

We will store your bags securely during the day and will formally check-in at the end of the day’s sessions at 1700. All refreshments and meals will be provided.
On Monday morning, after breakfast, we will move over to the Victrex site in Thornton Cleveleys for the day and the course will conclude here.

If you are travelling by public transport we will store your bags securely throughout the day.
What about travel arrangements?
We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to get to and from the course using public transport. The hotel is 5.5 miles away from Poulton-le-Fylde railway station so is easily accessed by taxi. For those travelling by public transport we will arrange your transfer to Victrex from the hotel and from Victrex to Poulton Station once the course has finished.
If you would prefer to travel by car the hotel and company have car parking available, though we accept no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to your vehicle or its contents during the course. You will be able to drive to Victrex on Monday morning so your car is with you ready to depart at the end of the course.
