We are looking forward to be our first visit to Berry Global in Rushden for the 2025 Midlands Polymer Study Tour for 11-19 teachers and are delighted to announce that the course will take place on 28 & 29 November .
Berry Global is a global manufacturer of extrusion blow moulded containers. The course starts on Friday morning with an introduction to the company followed by tours of the site. After the afternoon break we start explore the structure, properties and processing of polymers to boost your subject knowledge. The second day starts with a session on the impact of polymers on the environment, a topic that usually promotes some very engaging discussion, and also includes a practical session where you can have a go at activities you can take back to school.

Where will the course take place?
Both days of the course will be based at the Berry Global plant in Rushden, with overnight accommodation provided in a nearby hotel.

If you are travelling by public transport we will store your bags securely throughout the day.
What about travel arrangements?
We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to get to and from the course using public transport. The Berry Global site is about 6 miles from Wellingborough railway station. For those travelling by public transport we will arrange your transfer from the site back to the station once the course has finished.
If you would prefer to travel by car, the hotel and company have car parking available, though we accept no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to your vehicle or its contents during the course.
