We think that we have managed to cover everything you need to know in the information about the different grades of membership.  But here is a quick guide to the most commonly asked questions and their answers.  If you query is not solved here please drop us a line! 

Who can join?

Membership of the Scheme is open to anyone teaching a relevant subject in the 11 to 19 education sector. Our membership is mainly made up from science (physics and chemistry) and design technology teachers with a few members from other departments too. Membership is split between state and independent secondary schools, sixth form colleges and FE colleges.

How much does it cost?

The Schools Affiliate Scheme offers three grades of membership with a fee commensurate to the level of resources provided:

  • An unlimited number of Standard memberships are available free of charge.

  • Premier membership is limited to 30 members and has an annual fee of £150.

  • Premier Plus membership is restricted to 15 members at any one time and has an annual fee of £500.

What do members say about the Scheme?

We are very keen to find out what our members think about the Scheme and the resources that we provide. We send all members an annual satisfaction questionnaire asking whether they have made use of the resources and whether they would recommend the Scheme.

How can I involve my local school?

If you would like to get your local school involved the best place to start would be to contact them.  This should initially through the Head Teacher but then through either the Head of Science or the Head of Technology.
