Engineering body, IOM3 achieves apprenticeship accreditation status
On 27 November 2017, IOM Communications (a subsidiary of IOM3), became the 100th organisation to be granted end point assessment status. A team from the Institute has been working with an industrial consortium over the last 18 months to develop an apprenticeship standard at level 3 which best meets the knowledge and skills needs of the multifaceted and economically significant industries that operate in the composites sector.
IOM3 director of membership, Ian Bowbrick, said ‘the attainment of this recognition underlines our commitment to both developing and growing our technician community and supporting this dynamic and important sector within the materials cycle.’
