About the Sales Manager position  

As the Sales Manager, you will drive sales growth in all regions with a particular focus on Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will have a strategic focus on shaping the future growth of the business via sales, product development and the discovery of new product applications. You will prepare budgets for activities including customer visits, key account management, winning new business, conferences and exhibitions. Detailed responsibilities will include: -

Driving the exceeding of sales, margin and return on capital targets.

Managing and continually improving the customer experience.

Compiling budgets and updating sales forecasts.

Carrying out customer visits and producing detailed visit reports.

Developing market share profiles, competitor activity overviews and market intelligence for key product/applications.

Identifying and developing new customers and new product uses.

Working with existing, and developing new, regional agents to grow both new and existing business.

Responding to customer technical inquiries and requests for quotations.

Representing the company at regional and global conferences.

Overseeing the production of digital and print sales/marketing materials.   

Coordinating product and application development activities.

About you and what you will need to be a successful sales manager  

Must have a proven track record within a technical sales management role.

Strong presentation and communication skills

Must be willing to travel on a regular basis, around 25% of the time.

Should ideally be educated to degree level within an engineering or scientific discipline.

Ideally, have experience within the metals sector, a knowledge of thermal management would be especially useful.

Any foreign language skills would be an advantage.

In return, the sales manager will receive a salary of £47,500 – £55,000 depending on experience, a bonus of up to 11%, 7% pension contribution, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) and a relocation package if appropriate.
